JW ANDERSON

Originally from Northern Ireland, Jonathan Anderson, one of the most praised and adored fashion designers of the moment, was originally destined for a career in acting. However, his passion for suits overcame his passion for the stage and led him to study menswear at the London College of Fashion. He launched his label JW Anderson in 2008 with a strong bias, which he assumed from the start: to favour the functional while having fun with materials to invent new silhouettes. The minimalist label retains an element of unpredictability. Experimental details playing with imperfections and disproportions are grafted onto classic shapes. Thus, an extra large collar is added to a blazer and a surprising cut-out to a blouse. Details that are not details, that blur the lines and enhance the look.
